SP728X is a new generation of PVD coating machine from swiss-PVD. It does not only inherit the state-of-the-art technology from swiss-PVD, namely, Splitting Arc and HDPP (High Density Pulsed Power Technology), but it also delivers better coating performance and efficiency by upgrading its hardware and optimising its process parameters.


SP728X adapts higher electric current from its predecessor, 400A, up to 800A. Such arrangement is to obtain higher ionisation, stronger adhesion, denser coating structure, less droplets and better wear resistance. Besides, its deposition rate is faster and around double of the competitors in the market with similar configuration. Thanks to the splitting arc technology, target utilisation can be used for about 300 batches. This definitely reduces the cost of target (i.e. operating cost) and minimises the number of exchanges of target to avoid the chance of leakages.



SP728X is user oriented with modular design. This would help ease the maintenance. Its process control functions are performed by a PLC and visualised through an industrial PC which are communicated with each other but operate individually. That means the machine can still operate even the industrial PC has unexpected problem..
